Your Team
If you read all of these pages, you know more than most buyers and are almost ready to begin looking at properties. But first you should assemble a team of professionals to protect your interests.
A successful purchase starts with the right Realtor as your representative. When you choose a team, like Team Cox, and you have two professionals working for you and all of their combined resources and expertise in the Denver real estate market.
Your Realtor
Lender and Appraiser
A bank is not just a bank. Having the right lender can be extremely important – it is your money we’re talking about after all! Make sure that your lender and financial representative is someone with whom you feel comfortable, and be wary of any lender who promises you more than you think you can reasonably afford. Jim and Bonnie Cox will help you get references before you pay an application fee, and make sure your lender has a solid reputation. Your purchase will almost always require an appraisal of the property, and this will be your expense. More than any other part of your planning process, in today’s market, choosing the right lender is critical to your successful purchase.
You may feel you also need advice from an attorney. Title companies are great sources of information, but you may have technical questions about real estate law. Team Cox can guide you with your best choices.
Attorney
Home Inspector
No home inspection is 100% guaranteed, but a few hundred dollars to catch a major problem now is certainly better than many thousands to correct that ‘surprise’ down the road. TeamCox will recommend an ethical and experienced home inspector.
Contractor If you are planning on remodeling, you will need to schedule a licensed and bonded contractor far in advance.
Again, the experience of the TeamCox in this Denver real estate market will be invaluable in recommending all the professionals you will need to complete the purchase. That’s the team you will need, and that is the beginning of the knowledge you will accumulate as you take the journey of a home buyer. We are ready to share our experience and expertise in any phase of the process.
