We were pleased to see that 2010 ended well for the Denver real estate market. Metrolist released its December numbers last week, revealing that December was a strong month for Denver home sales. An end-of-the month sales flurry resulted in a 2.2 increase in home sales from December 2009 to December 2010. Monthly sales also increased over 13 percent from November 2009 to December 2010. The downside was that the average home price declined just over one percent in December from December 2009.
We are excited about the Denver real estate market this year, since the recent uptick in sales bodes well for the Denver real estate market in 2011. It signals that buyers are out there and are starting to jump in the market. If you are a perspective Denver homebuyer, it is a great time to purchase a home.
