Top 25 ACT Scores in the Denver Metro Area

The Colorado Department of Education released a report yesterday, revealing Colorado High Schools’ average 2009 ACT composite scores. Since this is a very important indicator of educational quality, TeamCox Realtors combed through the data to determine the top 25 highest scoring high schools, in addition to the top scoring school districts in the Denver metro area.

Top 25 Denver Area High School Average ACT Composite Scores:
1. ‘D’Evelyn Junior/Senior High School (Jefferson County) – 26.3
2. Fairview High School (Boulder Valley) – 24.8
3. Peak to Peak Charter School (Boulder Valley) – 24.5
4. Cherry Creek High School (Cherry Creek/Greenwood Village) – 24.3
5. Denver School of Science and Technology (Denver County) – 23.9
6. Monarch High School (Boulder Valley) – 23.5
7. Jefferson Charter Academy Senior High School (Jefferson County) – 23.1
8. Niwot High School (St. Vrain) – 23.1
9. Boulder High School (Boulder Valley) – 23.0
10. Rock Canyon (Douglas County/Littleton and Castle Pines) – 23.0
11. Golden Charter School (Jefferson County) – 22.7
12. Arapahoe High School (Littleton 6/Littleton) – 22.7
13. Mountain Vista High School (Douglas County/Highlands Ranch)- 22.6
14. Evergreen High School (Jefferson County) – 22.6
15. Denver School of the Arts – 22.5
16. Lakewood High School (Jefferson County) – 22.5
17. Ralston Valley (Jefferson County) – 22.5
18. Chatfield High School (Jefferson County/Littleton) – 22.1
19. Grandview High School (Cherry Creek) – 22.0
20. Heritage High School (Littleton/Littleton) – 21.8
21. Thunderridge High School (Douglas County/Highlands Ranch) -21.7
22. Chaparral High School (Douglas County/Parker) – 21.7

    Interesting! Good to see that the Douglas County schools did pretty well overall, with Chap edging out Ponde by .1! WOW.. Sounds like the Wrestling Championships last year where Ponderosa barely inched out Chaparral. Thanks for the info! I’ll tweet it.
