Many of our relocating clients, especially those from California, are often concerned about Denver’s snowfall. How much snow does Denver really receive each year? With the exception of last winter (2006-2007), Denver, Colorado, has relatively mild winters. According to the NOAA, Denver’s Snowfall Average (1882-2006) is 57.4 inches. This number varies significantly since Denver had a whopping 72.6 inches of snow last winter yet only 30.4 inches during the prior winter of 2005-2006. It is important to note that while 57 inches of snow may sound like quite a bit, Denver’s snow typically melts quicker than it does in other parts of the country since snowy mornings are often followed by brilliantly sunny afternoons.
